New series following the work of former cameraman David Houghton, who works with a dedicated team at the Africat Foundation in central Namibia overseeing the conservation of cheetahs and other big cats. The team have recently completed a 40,000-acre reserve designed to give rescued cheetahs a stepping stone to life back in the wild. In this episode, the team face an emergency when a cheetah begins overheating during a routine health check – a problem which could cause the animal irreparable brain damage. Elsewhere, six cheetahs scheduled for release take their first steps on the road to freedom.
