Fifteen years ago British wildlife cameraman David Houghton left everything behind to begin a new life in Africa, conserving cheetahs and other big cats. At The Africat Foundation in Namibia Dave works with a dedicated team who have spent twelve years preparing a 40,000 acre reserve, designed to give rescued cheetahs a stepping stone to life back in the wild. In this episode cheetah cub Quattro needs major surgery on a broken leg after being hit by a car. It is a tricky operation and if it is unsuccessful he will have to be put down. At the Foundation, one-eyed Cyclops has had the all clear from the veterinary team and can be released on to the Okonjima Reserve. It will be down to Dave to coax the elusive cat out of his enclosure so he can take his first steps and adapt to independence.
