Preview:

The team walk in the footsteps of the heroic steel workers and coal miners of Britain a hundred years ago.
The Titanic was made up of hundreds of thousands of individually crafted steel components. To explore the skills that went into each and every one of them, our team will cast the Titanic’s iconic 16 ton steel bow anchor at one of the last steelworks in Britain: Forgemasters in Sheffield. Still visible on the Titanic wreck, this was then the biggest anchor the world had ever seen.
The team discover that one hundred years ago, the small landlocked town of Netherton in the heart of the Midlands was the anchor capital of the world, making anchors and chains for many of the world’s ships, including the Titanic. They’ll also explore the British coal industry that provided all the coal necessary to build and power the Titanic – an industry that claimed the life of a miner every six hours. A coal strike in 1912 put the Titanic’s launch on hold, and meant that many passengers who had bought tickets for other liners ended up sailing on Titanic instead.
