In “Beyond the Headlines: The Tiffany Rubin Story,” Tiffany Rubin recounts the story of her daring mission in March 2008 to take back her seven-year-old son, Kobe, who had been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Lee. She discusses her relationship with Lee, as well as their court battles over Kobe’s custody and abduction, and describes what it was like to have Kobe missing for seven long months.
In addition to Tiffany, the documentary also includes interviews with Kobe Lee, Belzora Cason (Tiffany’s mother), Mark Miller, Bazzel Baz (a former CIA agent who helped orchestrate the rescue), Joseph Fredericks (Kobe’s former court-appointed law guardian), and the FBI special agent in charge of the case. Additionally, “Beyond the Headlines: The Tiffany Rubin Story” features Tiffany’s personal photos, Mark Miller’s photos taken immediately after the rescue, documents in the case against Jeffrey Lee, and a visit to the locations involved, including Seoul, South Korea.
