Jennifer was 11 when she witnessed the last explosive fight between her parents and watched her mother walk away from an abusive husband, leaving Jennifer and her sisters behind to suffer the same fate. Twenty years later, her sisters have buried their feelings, but Jennifer can’t forget the pain of being abandoned. She knows it’s time to find her mother, Anna, to get some answers. After exhausting every means of uncovering her mother, Jennifer turns to Troy for help, in hopes that she can finally find some peace. But if found, will Anna be ready to provide the answers?
Then we meet Shelley, a woman trying to come to terms with a lonely childhood. As an adopted child, she longed to connect with her biological mother. Now a mom herself, Shelley wants the opportunity to ask her mother why she was given up for adoption and to offer her forgiveness. With Troy’s help, Shelley will seek out her mother and the biological connection she’s been missing.
